Front-view tracking problems
My right knee shows up on the left of the screen. Is that right?
That's correct: the camera faces you, so it sees you the way someone standing in front of you would, and your right is on its left. Always read it by the rider's body, not by the side of the screen.
Toe Tracking says Poor. Is my pedaling bad?
No. Poor Toe Tracking is almost always a recording problem: the camera isn't level or centered, it moved during the recording, the light is poor, or something is blocking the view of the feet. Put the phone on a tripod, centered in front of the bike and level, and record again.
Why does Knee Tracking say Unstable?
Check Toe Tracking first. When the toe can't be tracked well, the app can't work out the knee's path reliably either, so fixing the toe usually fixes the knee.
My Knee Angle on the front view is only a few degrees. Is that wrong?
No. On a front recording, the Knee Angle shown in the Video view is how far the knee tilts from vertical, not the bend in the knee you see from the side. A few degrees either way is normal.
Where's the Classic Dashboard for my front recording?
There isn't one. Classic Dashboard is for side recordings only. Everything for the front view is in the EZ Dashboard: Knee Tilt, Knee Tracking, and Toe Tracking.
Why don't Knee Tilt and Knee Tracking agree?
They look at the same knee in two different ways. Knee Tilt compares the top and the bottom of the stroke; Knee Tracking follows the whole stroke. They usually agree, and when they don't, both are worth a look.
