Recording

This is how to navigate the controls of the recording screen. How to record well (light, framing, a clean capture) is Lesson 2.

Element	What it does
Bike type	Shows your auto-detected bike type (Road, Mountain, Aero/TT, Spin Cycle, or Other). Tap to override if needed before you record.
Direction selector	The auto-detected side of you facing the camera. Tap to override it if it's wrong.
Green bike outline	A rough distance guide in the middle of the frame. Line your bike up inside it; it doesn't need to match perfectly.
Alignment rectangle	Turns green when the camera height and level are right. The signal to trust for camera position.
Zoom toggle	Switches between 0.5x and 1x. The toggle appears only on devices with multiple lenses (usually iPhones), so single-lens iPads won't show it.
Delay selector	Sets how long the app waits before it captures, so you can settle into a steady pedal. Two modes: • Pedal strokes (default): starts after a set number of strokes, 10 by default • Time: a fixed number of seconds
Record button	The big red circle. Tap to start.

The app records in either orientation, portrait or landscape, so where a control sits on screen shifts with how you hold your phone. You can watch the video for further explanation.

You don't place stickers, tap through frames, or enter anything by hand. The app reads it all from the video. Keep iOS rotation lock off so the app can orient itself; it warns you if it's on. If a capture can't be tracked cleanly it still appears, but with a red warning triangle (see Troubleshooting & FAQs).
