Saddle fore/aft
How to adjust your saddle fore/aft
- Loosen the saddle clamp bolt(s) at the top of the seatpost (these hold the saddle to the post, not the seatpost binder clamp from Lesson 3).
- Slide the saddle forward or backward on its rails by the recommended amount. Keep it straight and stay inside the rails' marked range.
- Re-tighten to the torque in your manual, checking the saddle is still level before fully tightening.
Quick check: Re-record after every change. A fore/aft adjustment shifts your effective height, so expect a small height tweak in return, and vice versa, until both settle.
