Quick start: Your first session

about 12 minutes Section 5 of 13

Changing one thing at a time

Let's say you move your saddle up, slide it back, and swap your stem all in one afternoon. You go for a ride. Your knee feels better, but now you're having lower back pain. What fixed your knee? What is causing the back pain? Unfortunately, you have no idea. It could be any of the changes you made.

One change. Record again. Then decide.

Don't chase small numbers. Markerless tracking naturally has a few millimeters of run-to-run variability. Record twice without touching anything and the numbers will move slightly. You sit on the saddle slightly differently, the tracking is off by a couple pixels, etc.

So if a reading sits inside the green fit window and the number flips direction between recordings, up 2 mm and then down 1 mm with nothing changed in between, it is the app telling you that you have landed and the reason there is a window rather than a target.
