Quick start: Your first session

about 12 minutes Section 6 of 13

Start with saddle height

Work in this order, every time:

  1. Saddle height
  2. Saddle fore and aft
  3. Upper body: reach and bar height

The app gives you the first two as a direction and a distance. In this example it suggests moving the saddle up 12 mm and forward 10 mm.

Height comes first because it moves the other two. Your seat tube is angled, so raising the saddle carries it up and back at the same time, which changes your reach as well as your height. Fore and aft does the same thing in reverse.

Raising the saddle along the angled seat tube also carries it backward, so the two adjustments move each other.

Make the height change, then record again before you look at anything else.
